5 Things About Me // Keeping Up

learn about me

Hey, Loves! I trust you all had a great Holiday weekend. We went to Kansas City for the weekend and it was so nice to get away for a few days. We love to go down there just to shop & eat at some of our favorite places! They have such charming shopping centers and dainty little corners, I just love it! Noelia wasn’t having it this trip, which is another post in itself (coming soon!) Regardless, it is always so refreshing to spend some good, quality time with the tribe.

Today I wanted to something a bit different (and fun!) and fill you guys in on 5 fun things about me. There are a lot of new faces around Vida Noel and I am so excited about it! Growing a business as a blogger/influencer is challenging, so celebrating the small wins is key. The small wins lead to big wins and I am so appreciative of everything in between! Thank you for sticking along for the ride and being a reader and follower.

XO

My dress is from Emmer & Oat and you can shop it directly HERE. Only $40!

  1. I am the proud daughter to a first-generation immigrant! My Mom is from Chile, South America and I couldn’t be more proud than to call her my Mama.  She is strong, sassy, and everything I want to be as I get “older”. She is my hero!

  2. I met my husband when I was 19 and married him when I was 22. We were just BABIES! We still are, actually! It’s crazy to look back at our life together and see just how far we have come. A lot of ups and downs, challenges, Noelia, a house, a dog, and all the craziness in between. Life is beautiful when you sit back and take it all in.

  3. I absolutely love to sing! I have been singing my whole life and currently sing on the worship team at my church. I often listen to worship music when I lift and it motivates the heck out of me!  Nothing like hitting a set jamming to Jesus. All the feels!

  4. I have competed in 3 fitness competitions in the bikini division. I love the grind and hustle in prepping for a show. There is nothing like taking that first step onto that stage! I crave it every day. I have been debating whether I will ever do another one, but knowing myself, I will ;).

  5. I have the biggest sweet tooth EVER. I would choose sweet over savory any day! It gets me in trouble at times, but oh so worth it! And if Peanut Butter is involved, EVEN BETTER!

Now I want to learn about YOU! Tell me about yourself in the comments below.  Your name, where you are from, the whole works! I will be reading them all and choosing ONE (1) person to win a $10 giftcard to Starbucks! Let’s have some fun!

I met my husband in high school and actually got engaged my senior year! He was deploying so we wanted to be engaged before he left! I married him when I was 20 and this June will be our 5 year wedding anniversary! Crazy to think since I’m only 25 😊

Well. I already posted on FB but wanted to read it here. So here are 4 more things:

    1. I met my husband at 16 and we married at 23. We are high school sweethearts!
    2. I moved A LOT as a kid. Like over 10 times. I got really good at making friends even though the majority of those friendships did not last once we moved. Hazards of life!
    3. I am an only child, only grandchild, and only Great-grandchild on my dads side. Spoiled much? You bet…with only a tiny bit of rotten. 😉
    4. I have played violin since 6 and Viola since 14. I love sharing music with my students and helping them find themselves through it.

      Viktoria,

I find it SO sweet that you and your hubby were high school sweethearts! So inspiring! I actually used to play the Viola in elementary and middle school. I should have kept up with it!

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment!

    1. My mom is one of eleven so I come from a BIG family and absolutely love every minute of the craziness!
    2. I also met my husband young (age 20 and he was 19) and we got married a few short years later! We are always reflecting back on how clueless we were that we would each make such an impact on the other one’s life, and how far we would come. I thank God for him every day!
    3. I am a HUGE book worm! I could spend hours wandering around the library with my coffee in hand, nose buried in books. Jodi Picoult is my fave.
    4. I am passionate about my business as an entrepreneur and I agree, the small victories lead to bigger victories! Inspiring and empowering women is what I believe God is calling me to do at this point in my life. (& working towards staying at home with my little man is an added perk!)
    5. I TOTALLY relate on being a sweets addict! Especially if it’s cookie dough ice cream 🙂

      Kylie,

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and comment! I love how driven you are! I so wish I would have started sooner with my “Side Hustle” before Noelia was born. I totally believe in you and that you can do anything you want with your business! So glad to be here to support you. And cookie dough ice cream is my jam, as well!

I love your blog!! I didn’t know you were Latina! Very cool. My bf is an immigrant from Ecuador! We met at a local wine bar and have been inseparable ever since! A fun fact about me is that I started my own magazine, self published, when I was 12 years old and sold to subscribers all over the world! Enjoying the hustle ever since haha!

      Hi, Emily!

Thank you so much for taking the time to commment! My mom is from Chile, so definitely a close neighbor to Ecuador. Isn’t South American BEAUTIFUL?! Ugh, cannot wait to go back! So happy we could connect!

I am from central Nebraska, and met my boyfriend online actually. I was living in grand island then and he was a deputy sheriff in Valley county (where I grew up!) so I moved in with him, and was closer to my parents again! A short while later (right after my father passed away from a head injury when he fell down a flight of stairs) we found out we were expecting and now have a 4 month old son named Britt.
The Lord works in mysterious ways, I am blessed he sent me Chris, and in the midst of my grief from losing my dad he sent me a son. God is good!
I would love to do a bikini competition, my boyfriend has done competitions in the past for bodybuilding but I just need some motivation to get back into shape, I am thankful for your blog and your inspiration in doing that!
