Hey Vida Noel Fam! Welcome to today’s blog post that I am SO excited to share. Our MASTER BATHROOM remodel is finally done! Praise be! We started this project back in APRIL and we are finally done. It took us way longer than expected but the final result made it all worth while. We ran into some builder hiccups, order issues, and crazy contractor schedules but we pushed through to the finish line. As you will see in the below transformation photos, this space came a long way. The room is almost unrecognizable from the original. I mean…who puts carpet in their bathroom?!
VANITY
I had the pleasure of working with CKF out of Omaha, NE to design the perfect custom vanity that would fit the space. I originally thought we would remove the original vanity top and replace but sand original cabinet then stain it. After some thinking, the custom vanity top and time it would take to flip the cabinet just did not make sense. The Master Bathroom is such a selling point in any home and I wanted to do it right! I worked with Jenna and Marissa of CKF to put together the perfect vanity that fit my vision. I chose WHITE OAK SAND from the 360 Signature Cabinetry line and POBLENOU SUEDE quartz tops from the Private Studio Collection. The White Oak cabinetry is very trendy right now and make any space look fresh. The Suede finish on the countertops is very unique and it isn’t just your normal polished quartz top. It has some texture and Poblenou is a great dupe for the concrete look with the durability of quartz. We LOVE this combo!
The tile wall all the way to the top makes the area look so much bigger!

Our faucets can be found HERE. The knobs and pulls were picked out at CKF.
My favorite addition to the whole room…the free-standing tub! We had a typical early 2000’s whirlpool tub that took up too much space. It was old, dirty, and leaked every time we used it. It pretty much collected dust! I love baths and really wanted a tub to look forward to after long days. We took out a wall that separated the room from the toilet and shower. That alone made the room feel SO much bigger. We got a simple free-standing tub from Home Depot found HERE but splurged on the faucet. I wanted the focal point to be the faucet and THIS ONE was what I went with. The handle is great for rinsing off and for cleaning the tub after use.
I really wish the windows could have been replaced to black iron windows but with the budget and the amount of windows we have in the house, we decided not to do it. I simply painted the wood trim white and left the vinyl wood as is.
This faucet is worth every penny!
All the texture, please!
THE SHOWER
Let’s talk TILE! We know this is not our forever home and we knew most people can spend the most money on tile when doing a remodel like this. I wanted something simple, timeless, and easy! I originally wanted the shower floor tile to be the entire bathroom floor but the busy look (and price!) changed my mind. I decided to go with my gut and choose a tile that was large, cheap, and had that concrete look. I found THIS TILE from Home Depot and was sold. The 24×24 size made for an easier and faster install. Win, win! I will be doing this same tile in all the other bathrooms if we are still in this house when that time comes. Tim Newberry with Tim Newberry Tile did all the tile work and I HIGHLY recommend him if you are local. He was so punctual always and very professional. He does amazing work!
Removing the wall made all the difference!
The shower door was a purchase from Menard’s and can be found HERE.
I love that we decided to add the wall shelf
The vanity and tub backsplash tile is my favorite part of the whole bathroom. I love the texture it brings to the room since it is all so simple and streamlined. I wish I would have found this tile sooner for my kitchen backsplash!
It was a long road to get here but it was worth the wait! I love having a space I look forward to relaxing in at night once the house is quiet with sleeping kids ;). Keep your eyes peeled on the blog for our next remodel! What should we do? Main level entertainment area wall or stair mantle?!
