48 Hours In Austin

Hi Sweet Friends! Happy January! We are starting off with a bang for 2022 because this Mama already has one weekend getaway under her belt! I spend 48 Hours In Austin, Texas this past weekend and it was SO needed. I spent some time meeting a few online friends for the first time and the weekend was filled with such rich conversation and laughs. I am rounding up what we did in Austin in this post so LETS GET TO IT!

48 HOURS IN AUSTIN

GOOD EATS

This Mama took an early flight Friday morning. I always strive to leave early on travel days and luckily there were no hick-ups. This was my first time flying by myself so I upgraded my seats to Austin to priority to ensure I was on and off the plane quickly in case I was cutting it close in making my connecting flight. I was in Austin by 11:30am where I met Nicole (@whereyourheartisnow) for the first time! She flew in from Ohio. We were picked up by Margret (@thestylegirl) who drove in from Houston and took us to our first local spot!

We had lunch together at Tiny Boxwoods and it was the CUTEST spot. It was a bit chilly but we still dined outside. The restaurant has outdoor heaters set-up and blankets for those who want it. It was such a fun, cozy lunch. I would love to go back one day and try their pastries!

Friday evening we celebrated my close girlfriend’s birthday. Blaze (@blazeshipley) turned 29 and we had her dinner at The Proper. THIS PLACE IS A MUST! The vibes are immaculate and the food is delicious. We had family style fajitas and there was plenty of food to go around. The shrimp and steak was my favorite. It was all cooked to perfection!

For our Saturday night dinner we went to ABA which serves Mediterranean cuisine. I have the chicken kabob with rice and WOW, it was probably my favorite meal of the whole trip! The restaurant is right in the middle of prime shopping and there are so many great photo spots.

Inside of our hotel, The Line, there was P6, Alfred coffee, and Veracruz Tacos. We had all 3 and it made the hotel that much more amazing! Each spot had its own vibe and IG worthy photo spots.

Aren’t my Babes so pretty!? This was my party look to celebrate Blaze’s birthday! Everyone went CRAZY over her heels so I linked them for y’all below! These girls hold such a special place in my heart! This photo was taken at The Proper.

I shot this casual look to brunch and shopping on Saturday. These shots were taken on the rooftop floor of Restoration Hardware. This one did not have a restaurant on top, just fyi! I was sad about it since I have never been to a RH.

MINI PHOTO DUMP

My travel look was basically this hoodie! I have worn it so many times and I love wearing it as a mini poster board for JESUS. I got a Large but recommend sizing up even more for an oversized fit due to how it shrinks.

Thank you so much for reading this post babes! Comment below if you have ever been to Austin or are going! Would love to hear!
